GFA Foundation donates GHC50k to Coach Sellas Tetteh

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Foundation has made a donation of GHC50,000.00 to former Ghana Coach Sellas Tetteh, who led the national under-20 team to win the World Cup in 2009.

The GFA Foundation was established and launched by the current leadership of the Ghana Football Association to enhance the living conditions of former footballers who may be in need of assistance due to old age, ill health, injury, or general deprivation.

The visit to Coach Tetteh’s residence was the first activity by the GFA Foundation, and the Association’s President Kurt Okraku expressed his gratitude to Tetteh for his invaluable and dedicated service to the country.

Mr. Okraku clarified that all entitlements, including vehicles, promised to the team after the FIFA U-20 World Cup triumph, had been fulfilled, refuting media reports of unpaid bonuses and salaries.

Tetteh, who managed Sierra Leone and Rwanda national teams, expressed his gratitude for the visit and donation and thanked the GFA President for personally sponsoring him for the CAF License A Refresher Course for coaches in 2021.
