Shatta Wale and three others remanded into police custody for one week.

Ghanaian reggae dancehall artist Shatta Wale has been remanded into police custody for one week.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah who was in the Accra district court this morning pleaded not guilty to charges leveled against him with regards to causing fear and panic and publication of false information which breaches the peace of the country.

” A court in Accra today, Thursday 21st October, 202, remanded Charles Nii Armah Mensah popular known as Shatta Wale and three others into prison custody for one week. They were remanded following a request by the police for his continue detention due to the ongoing investigations on his alleged involvement in the publication of false information with the intention to cause fear and panic”, the police said in a statement briefing.

The dancehall king is said to have masterminded his gunshot attack through a publication made which lead to his arrest.

Prior to his arrest, Kojo Owuso Koranteng popular known as Nana Dope and Eric Venator alias Gangee were also picked up by the Ghana police service for their involvement in the spread of false publication,  Depotee by then was on the run but he is in the grip of the police.

Currently, some hashtags are circulating on social media for his release.
