Ghanaian comedian and Actor Benson Nana Yaw Boateng popular known as Funny Face has been arrested by the Ghana police service over an allege suicide claim and threatening the lives of certain individuals.
The actor and the comedian over the weekend, was dominating on various news portal over an allege suicide threat.
He was also seen in a video that went viral insulting renowned Ghanaian personalities which raised both Ghanaians and media attention.
“The police have today, Monday 18th October, 2021 at 10:14 pm arrested Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face for allegedly threatening lives of individuals via social media platforms. Due to the history of the suspects, the police shall submit Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to the court for an order for Psychiatric examination to determine the next line of investigative action. The police is committed to protecting the lives with the generous help of the public. We want to assure the public that we shall not take anything for granted in the interest of public safety”, the statement said.
Funny face is currently in police custody to assist in investigation.
