Nine(9) year old Foto Copy has been crowned the new artiste of the year at the just-ended Ghana Music Awards USA. The talented musician who released his latest song OUR TIME in July shook of competition from Lasmid, Chief One, Malcom Nuna, Efe Keyz, DJ Azonto etc to grab the prestigious award.
Ghana’s youngest musician Foto Copy traveled to the United States where this year’s Ghana Music Awards USA was held to receive the award himself after he was rewarded last year as the Emerging Act of the Year.
This year, the 9-year-old musician was nominated as the new artist of the year facing stiff competition from Chief One, Efe Keys, DJ Azonto etc. He has expressed his determination to keep the energy up after landing back-to-back huge features with Shatta Wale and South African Legend Uhuru.
Foto Copy is the youngest musician to ever cross the 1 million views milestone on YouTube with his “School Dey Be” song which featured Shatta Wale. It is impressive to know that he has never attended any reality show but has kept his composure since emerging into the music scene.
In March, Foto Copy became the only musician to host two concerts on the same day as a headline artist for both events with one in the morning (FOTOFEST) and another in the evening (I AM KASOA CONCERT). The two events seek to promote his brand with I AM KASOA CONCERT targeted at giving Kasoa a positive name.
Foto Copy’s hardwork has earned him the children’s president title and the Prince of Africa.
