“I don’t need to apologize to Ghana” – Luis Suarez fires

Uruguay footballer Luis Suarez has explained why he wouldn’t apologize to Ghana for the 2010 saga.

According to him, he was punished for his actions but Asamoah Gyan missing the last minute penalty is no fault of his.

Luis Suarez asked today if he’d apologize to Ghana on the 2010 incident;

“I don’t need to apologize. I’d apologize if I injured a player, but in this situation, I handled the ball, I take a red card and the Ghana player missed the penalty. It’s not my fault. I didn’t miss the penalty. It’s not my responsibility.”

Ghana will be playing Uruguay in the group H fixture in Qatar, a game many Ghanaians are referring to as “A Game Of Revenge”.

The black stars of Ghana needs a win or draw point to qualify to the round of 16 to face Brazil.

Ghana has played 2 matches with 3 points as Uruguay are having 1 point after 2 matches needing a win to qualify to the next round.

Uruguay have found it difficult to impress at the 2022 tournament, drawing 0-0 with South Korea in their opening match on November 24 before losing 2-0 to Portugal on Monday, which has left them bottom of Group H and facing an early exit from the competition.
